FAQ

HOw much will therapy cost?

I:1 Session (50 mins): $180/Session

*SLIDING SCALE:
I believe access to affordable, quality counseling should be an option for everyone. On occasion, one of my sliding scale spots becomes available. Please inquire regarding availability.

How often will we meet?

Therapy is a nonlinear healing process. Sometimes you may benefit from or desire more or less frequent sessions. This is something that we will discuss to make sure that you are getting the support that you need.

How Long will i be in therapy?

The length of therapy is a collaborative process, and part of my role is to keep an open dialogue about how our work is feeling and to make sure you feel empowered to pause therapy when the time feels right. In my experience, therapy generally lasts anywhere from 6 months to a few years.

What if I need to Reschedule?

To cancel an appointment, please let me know 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Cancellations later than 48 hours in advance will result in the full session fee. Exceptions are made for emergencies.

If not given prior notice of a cancellation or that you are running late, I will wait 15 minutes past our appointment time before you are responsible for the full fee of the missed session. We will not begin a session past those 15 minutes (I will contact you 5 minutes after our session start time if you do not show).

Can I use Insurance?

I do not accept insurance, but I can provide an itemized receipt of our sessions (typically done on a monthly basis). You can check with your insurance plan if they offer out of network reimbursements.

How do I pay for therapy?

I accept credit cards and/or Venmo, or HSA cards.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers are asked to give clients an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. As a client, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the total expected cost of psychotherapy services. You may ask me for a GFE before you schedule a session, or at any time during treatment. For questions or more information about your right to a GFE, or how to dispute a bill visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
